Tour Highlights:
This three day camping tour begins in the western town of Sisters. On the first day we’ll pass through groves of Ponderosa pines as we gradually climb to McKenzie Pass. Once at the pass the 10,000+ foot Three Sisters will dominate the southern horizon and Mount Washington (7,794 ft.) and Mount Jefferson (10,497 ft.) will be visible to the North. This is clearly one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Oregon. From the Pass we descend 3,700 ft. to our campground at Belknap Hot Springs. Take a warm soak while the guides prepare a delicious dinner. On the second day we travel along the historic Aufderheide Memorial Drive. This classic road winds along the shores of Cougar Reservoir and next to the rushing waters of the McKenzie River. Today we camp beneath a canopy of old growth Douglas fir trees. For our final day we continue along the Aufderheide to the little hamlet of West Fir. Here we meet our shuttle. Our shuttle will transport us back to where it all began.
Daily mileage for this tour is 39, 35, and 36 miles.
