Tour Highlights:

Join us on this seven day tour as we wind our way along the California Coast from the seaside community of Pacifica south to Santa Cruz, and then ride north to Point Reyes, staying in comfortable hotels and bed & breakfasts.

After a few nights working our way down the awe-inspiring Pacific Coast and back through the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains we spend an evening in San Francisco absorbing the diverse culture and history of this beautiful city on the bay.  Now it’s time to cross one of the most famous bridges in the world by bike.  After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge we wind our way through the communities north of San Francisco Bay into the rural agriculture areas of Marin County.  In our opinion some of the most amazing riding in North America exists in this area.  That’s why we spend a couple of days at Point Reyes to explore the local backcountry roads.  For our last day we offer you a perspective of San Francisco that’s not on your typical tour.  With our bikes in tow we hop aboard a ferry and cross San Francisco Bay.

This tour has several long climbs as we wind our way through the Santa Cruz Mountains and across the hills of Marin County.  While no previous bike touring experience is needed, by the time your tour departs you should be able to comfortably complete a 50-60 mile ride with some hills.

Daily mileages for this tour are 33, 53, 75, 63, and 56 miles.  On this tour we follow a route similar to our camping tour except we do not visit Portola State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains and we spend an extra day in Point Reyes.
